NCAA eliminates immediate eligible hardship transfers

This will be a blow to some players/teams that were counting on some new football/basketball players for this fall that were going to transfer to their school this summer and apply for "hardship" immediate eligibility.

Yesterday, NCAA eliminated that practice so that all transfers must sit out for one year.

In full calendar year July 2012 - June 2013, NCAA approved 127 out of 236 hardship waiver requests.
