My neighbor had a new vinyl fence installed and I want to join up to it from my house. They told me that they were going to get it installed but never asked if I wanted to contribute or add on to it. I basically just need to add about 15 feet from my house to the fence with a gate and I'm all good.

Should I offer them anything, (money), to do this? Do I need to get their approval or is it a d**k move to just add it without saying anything?

What BTK said, it's obviously their fault for not consulting you

What Bob said. I've done the same thing before. Just use your own corner posts. You will probably have to move yours around because of the concrete used for their corners and probably won't be flush with theirs.

Then buy him some beer for saving you a G.

Idk if putting a gate on your neighbors fence is a wise idea. But that's just me. [smoke]
