I guess Coach Dawkins is going the TCU route when it comes to using the Big 12 to improve a clearly behind basketball program. TCU grabbed underrated gems that the power schools didn't want, but really good mid-majors wanted and turned them into NBA players like Desmond Bane who coincidentally is also from Indiana. It's great when it works out, but it's high risk. It's much easier to recruit them because they're thinking ... stay close to home or Big 12?
