When Rivals debuted the new boards earlier in the spring, the ability to initiate private messages, or "Conversations" as they're called, were turned off by default.
They have now been turned on as a perk for subscribers.
See the envelope icon at the top right of the page next to the notifications flag? That's where you can access the Conversations inbox or start a new one. You can message people privately, even have private threads where multiple people are included (similar to Facebook message).
You can manage your Conversation settings at the following link. By default, other members can now send you messages but you can switch that to only people you "follow." You can also check the box to receive an e-mail any time you receive a new Conversation.
