There's The Handmaids Tale, Man in the High Castle, etc. All these shows are in alternative realities...there's nothing offensive about making a show about what COULD have happened.

It looks like the same concept as Man in the High Castle. I don't know that the current political climate is ready for this show. In zero sum identity politics, this show becomes propaganda. The creators of GOT didn't really do the books any favors, so I don't have much faith in their ability to write.
