If O'Leary does decide to step down during or after this season is over, who should take over? I'm not entirely convinced that hiring from within is the way to go, not for a team with P5 aspirations. I know that Key and Beckton have both been with the program for a long time, they're familiar with our system, etc. But does that necessarily make them the best choice to take over the top job?
When the time comes, I would like to see us do an in-depth search for a new HC. This seems like it would be a very attractive opening for any head coach, the potential is there to become another Boise State (by far the most successful of the non-P5 schools since 2000).
Just curious to see what other people think, and who they think might be a good candidate to take over the program
