As far as the football's go, I think this whole thing has little to do with that at this point, especially since they whipped Indy in that game.
Suffice it to say, though, the integrity of the game and the league is at stake, and it is an image business. The league has taken big integrity hits over the last 1.5 years or so, and it is a big hot-button. He probably lied to the commissioner and Robert Kraft and Belicheck + whoever else. At least greatly stretched the truth or decided not to divulge info. Why would you not let your lawyer + another lawyer look through your emails and texts to see what has or has not been said, and agree if anything was related or should be released, even if they both sat down with Brady before releasing anything to get his explanation about anything. If he had nothing to hide, he would have done this. The lawyers don't have to release anything if there is nothing to release. It's pretty obvious if the equipment people mentioned his name while having text conversations, that he knew about it. Unknown if he was actually part of it.
In the bigger picture, how would anybody think they would get treated at any place of business, with the reputation of that business and the President/CEO of that business on the line and you swore you had nothing to do with something, and then there is a bunch of info/facts leaning toward you either knowing about it, being involved with it, or not fully divulging the facts after-the-fact. You'd be fired or put in some cube far away in some corner. The NFL doesn't have any place to "hide" players, though, so you are either "in" or "out". Robert Kraft came out and verbally admonished the league based on the information he had been told directly by Brady. Unless he was in on it, which I doubt a CEO and Team President of his caliber would do so for something seemingly so trivial, If it were me and I found out somebody lied or misled me when I put my reputation on the line, you'd be traded real quick. I don't care if that player won me 4 Superbowls and is a future Hall of Fame QB. He would be shipped out ASAP.
