Nice article on Tacko Fall.....He is big! Wow

being tall isn't all it takes...you have to have heart and want to be the best...I read an article that said he would rather be a CEO of a large company than a great basketball player...he will more than likely spend more time studying for classes than in the gym...unless he has a change of heart.

Dude...that's taking what he said WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY out of context.

He said something along the lines of he would rather be Steve Jobs than Lebron James. He also said he recognizes that his basketball ability is what will give him the opportunity to make the kind of money that can make a big impact in his home country. Looking at EVERYTHING he said, it is clear that he thinks that being an entrepreneur/engineer (after an NBA career) is what he would most want to be known for.

His upper body definitely looks like he has put on some mass and his coordination is pretty good for his height. Schools like Georgetown and others don't toss around scholarship offers for no reason. It will be interesting to see how he handles the college game over the next few years.

You could almost count on the Debbie Downer, by the way, he said Taco won't be worth anything till maybe his last year. Who knows, but his stupid statements are worth noting to see if true or more probably NOT.

You mean he is going to college to get an education? The nerve of that guy. Because the guy has aspirations beyond a career in the NBA he has no heart? Your statement optimizes what is wrong with college sports.

I agree KT

I noticed while watching even his highlight tape that he has two post moves: turn around and dunk, turn around and sky hook. I liked him in transition and even on the perimeter if he gets space. His post game, defense (he got dunked on by a guy almost 18 inches shorter than him), and board game need SERIOUS work which is not ideal for a guy who can only be a 5.

Considering he has only played organized ball for just a few years...his skill set has seen some nice exponential growth over the last 2 years.. the next few years could see some of the same.

That's why top teams from the ACC, Big 12, Big East etc...wanted to sign him so badly...as his game will most likely improve...all while he could help them on both sides of the court in Year 1 (hopefully 10-15 mins per game by the end of the season).

Looking forward to seeing Tacko play next year for UCF...and then see how his game can improve in the following years.

This guy is going to be a very special player for UCF and likely our 1st NBA 1st Round Draft pick.

I can't wait to follow his UCF career.

I was thinking that he would leave early, possibly after a sophomore season. But after hearing his remarks on education, I think we have him for 4 years and that's awesome!!!

I watched some of his highlights for the first time. He surprised me a bit. Not a stiff IMO. He's definitely not a Shawn Bradley or Manute Bol. I saw some nice athleticism for a young guy his size. Even saw a spin move or 2. I think he has a chance to be a Dikembe Mutombo type of player.

People will fill the stands to see him play for sure.

Shawn Bradley was very athletic for a guy his size. He also was very productive his freshman year at BYU (almost 15 ppg, almost 8 rpg and over 5 blocks per game). He also had a pretty long NBA career.

Tacko Fall would love to replicate Shawn Bradley's NBA success:

1st Round, 2nd pick overall in the 1993 draft
12 seasons in the NBA
70 million in career earnings

He's saying all the right things. Who knows how much is heart felt and how much is him wanting to make a good impression on the coaching staff.

You just named 2 NBA guys and said he isnt them...that didn't help your argument...I didnt say he won't be anything until Sr year...someone else did... I said he will be good at blocking shots and rebounding right away...his offensive game needs alot of work to go against the UCONN bigs et al.

He has an excellent heart that is in exactly the right place, assuming he's been real to date. I hope he rides UCF right through graduation, and on to the bigger dreams he has. That's exactly what UCFAA is all about.
