Nick patti WR?

I'm more worried about who will be the backup. We now have 2 former QBs as WRs on the roster and not sure who will be the backup.

So this means they either suddenly feel comfortable with Tyler Harris (who didn't exactly tear it up in the Spring Game) -- or they like Bo Schneider a lot.

Since youre new here, ill give you a pass. Blake didnt do well during his sophomore spring games

Could also mean we really need experienced depth at WR. The freshman just aren't cutting it at WR, maybe?

It's just that they are Freshmen ad most don't flurish as true Freshmen but the talent is there.

This is the most inexperienced WR crew UCF has had in 20 plus years yet they are talented (few very talented) but it will take more than their true Freshmen season before they learn all the tricks of playing WR at a high level.

As Nick said, unlike all the new Freshmen, he k ow every play, what WR responsibilities are, etc...but he has a lot of learning to do but hopefully he can be a.productive WR on the depth chart this season.

One of those players sporting a new spot on the field was former quarterback Nick Patti. He said that he and the coaching staff began to talk about the move at the beginning of summer B classes. And Patti was all-in when it came time to make the switch.

“It was something I was up to, kind of get a role and get involved a little bit – use my talents the best I can and help the team,” Patti said. “However they feel they need to utilize me to help out.”

The redshirt junior who transferred from Boise State after his freshman year didn’t see much time in the pocket for the Knights, playing in just five games while throwing for 89 yards on 7-for-14 passing and putting up 49 yards and a touchdown on the ground in nine run attempts last season.

“That’s where I see him helping himself right now,” O’Leary said. “He’s a good athlete. He has good quickness. He can do things with the ball in his hands.”

Does anybody know what happened to sucky Pete DiNovo? Is he still on the team, still playing QB? Did he transfer to another school?

or Patti didnt want to sit another year and obviously won't be going to NFL as a QB so he may as well see if a possession receiver is in his future.

Still a WR? He was our 3rd string QB last yr.

What have you been doing this offseason!

I didn't make it to our Spring Game this yr unfortunately. Thanks for the update however. Hopefully he can catch better than he can throw. Was horrible at QB. How did he look at WR in the Spring Game? Is he even fast enough to be a WR? I guess as a possession receiver on short routes maybe. Sad when we have to convert 2 QBs to WRs just to help with depth. Yes I understand we lost our entire WR corp from last yr.

Patti wasn't horrible at QB. Holman is simply better. Patti should be fine at WR, and just like RoCal, its going to take some time for him to transition. Patti is all business at practice. He is a mature kid. He'll be fine.

Man, do all these things meet the definition of "new"? I thought new had a specific meaning within the English language, but it's amazing how you have broadened the definition to include things like "amount of times one goes to practice." Particularly since the new reference that UCFHonors made was to newness IN THIS FORUM. Please explain how the amount of times one goes to practice outside of this forum equates to newness in this forum. You're as stupid as he is.

Well now you know. Next step is for you to learn how to quote properly.

Your absence from practices leads me to believe that you don't understand how things work around here and thus are "new". Practices are important, you should take them seriously.
