As a former high school DB coach, I am not certain I have ever seen that many contested 50-50 balls get batted away in one hame. The two pass interference calls were atrocious as well.

UCF cannot reproduce the magic in the secondary. You can pull cut ups from games for the next five years and nothing will come close to last night.

NFL Draft experts will pull plays from this SMU game to highlight these DBs when they declare. The "in-phase" DB play in one-on-one coverage was that good.

I thought the 1 PI on Davonte was marginal. The PI on Thornton was a bad call. And the refs missed a PI on BJ in the end zone

At least one of them was clearly offensive pass interference, not defensive
