Seems like the more we wear masks, the higher the cases. Science!!!!

President Biden will save us. I’m not worried at all.

If you're just counting counties Trump has almost all the counties. Look at the voting map. 93% is fake news though. California, New York, etc in the top 5 cases. Illinois is now blowing up.
But it’s just the sniffles

Two months ago the NYT put out an article saying that the tests were too sensitive and that around 90 percent of the positive results in New Jersey, Nevada and some other state were cases where the viral load was so low that they wouldn’t be contagious or even showing symptoms. I can’t find any update to that study, so I am assuming that nothing changed and a lot of the positive results are still cases where an appropriate testing would have resulted in a negative.

As of the day Biden takes over as President, every Covid death will be on his shoulders and he will accept responsibility for them. A man doesn't come out and promise that following the science will shut the virus down without knowing with certainty he can follow through.

What's different? That's exactly like the Right putting the economic collapse that took place under Bush directly on Obama's shoulders.

That literally never happened. The collapse happened before Obama was elected. There were some people that blamed Clinton, but not Obama

Prove it. Show me someone that blamed Obama for the collapse of 2008. It happened 2 months before the election. TARP happened before Obama took office. Nobody blamed Obama for it.
First off, I never said you guy's BLAMED Obama for the collapse. What I did say is that you are conveniently putting the coronavirus mess that Biden is inheriting on his shoulders the same way you did with the economic mess that Obama inherited.

"Every covid death will be on his shoulders" the same way the Wall Street collapse was on Obama's. I have no doubt you'll blast Biden for his handling of the virus the same way you blasted Obama.

Just an FYI, Obama was responsible for the longest period of sustained economic growth in our nation's history that lasted until....Trump.

My doctor friend says the tests are too sensitive and can pick up the dead virus for possibly 20 days.
Yeah, the article mentioned that too. It’s extraordinarily hard to understand much about this virus. The media is more interested in sensationalizing it than reporting the truth and public health officials disagree with each other. It seems that shutting down businesses and telling everyone to wear masks is one of the dumbest our government has ever done and that’s saying a lot.

That's fine. Both Obama and Biden claimed they have a solution for each problem. If Bidens solutions aren't as successful as Obama's, I will be disappointed.

FIFY. I hate the idea of giving elected officials credit for what good happens in the economy. Apart from getting government the hell out of the way, they don’t do much. That said, I’m fine with giving the same amount of credit to either president.

Obama started at such a low place that virtually any sitting president would have seen a good amount of growth. The deeper the recession, the stronger the growth. Obama’s recovery should have been faster, but whatever. Trump rode that wave and added some tax cuts and deregulation that helped continue the rebound. Trump removed governmental interference and the economy grew faster than under Obama, but I don’t know where one snake begins and the other ends as far as who gets credit for what(if either deserve any).

Can’t wait. I want to hit a movie after the holidays
Movie theaters are never coming back. I owned a video store up to the very end of that industry and we are seeing the same thing with theaters now. Its all going to be online streaming.

I disagree. There will always be a place for a 'big screen' presentation once we can do it safely again.

Biden will bring them back. Book it!

Maybe in a niche market, but it will never be what it was. Its too hard to change habits after this long, especially when things were already trending away for the prior.

Disney-Fox. They now have Disney+ streaming.

Netflix. Have been producing their own content for streaming for a couple of years.

Sony, Tristar, Columbia. Already teaming with Hulu.

Paramount. Teaming with AppleTV.

Meanwhile, AMC is hemorrhaging money and near bankruptcy.

This is not unlike what happened in the mid 2000s to blockbuster, Hollywood, and movie gallery. Its gone.

I respectfully disagree. People can't wait to go to big screen movies again. I think 2022 will be one of Hollywood's biggest years.

Too late for the theaters. How are they supposed to survive for another year with losses in the billions?

We'll see. As with many things in life, the theatre names may change but we won't see boarded up theatres.

There's way too many movie goers who look forward to big screen movies again.

Maybe small 2nd run theaters. People don't realize how expensive it has been to run premiers. Maybe if the production companies throw them a bone it might come back, but 15k for the print + 90% of ticket sales isn't going to work anymore. I just don't see how the market survives.

Humm...all these mask mandates and still getting 100,000 cases a day. Only 329 million people in the US. We are about to build some antibodies if you like it or not.
It’s ok 93% are in chud counties from the in person early voting.
