Considering all of the struggles that the nation has faced in the last year, I'd say DeSantis has done better than almost any other governor.
I'm not really into a statue. He's not that great of a leader. That said...
Cuomo was an idiot and a total baffoon, all while the Media - including his bother and other, total conflicts of interest in the Media - lauded him...
And DeSantis did the right thing over and over, from nursing homes to not double counting tourists in COVID deaths and other things, and was crucified and demonized by the Media.
So, no, he doesn't need a statue. He does need a big @$$ apology though.

He needs a city, not a statue. Democrats like to tear those things down. Well... cities as well, but it’s more difficult
He should make hand sanitizer, call it Desanitiser. Just fill a bottle full of beach sand and alligator

won’t be popular here but I though Newsome did a good job for the first 7-8 months of the pandemic . The outdoor dining 2nd lockdown ban was stupid along w having a little more leniency on High School Sports. And on Cuomo I think I posted in the mega thread that a lot of his praise was East Coast bias. Washington State Gov also did ok after a few early bumps but he barely exists to the media but that State is easier to manage compared to California

Newsome did try to balance the screams of far left radicals against the better ideas, and tried some of the latter. That's hard to do in the oligarchy of California which is worse than the US Congress, and even more 1-sided -- but plenty of Republicans are involved too. I mean, plenty of defense industries pump both parties outside of tech, and forestry has a lot of right-wingers selling over-priced aircraft services too (don't get me started).
Sweden will be interesting to watch as they are headed to California like restrictions.
The problem is there are many test u can take for Covid. Many are not taking the right one. There is a blood test to find antibodies in your blood...it takes only a few minutes to find out ....then there is nasal test which test for the Antigen or Virus...that one takes a hour to find out then there is another nasal that tests for antigen that is sent to labs that one takes 3 days...Truth is many do not know this. And are taking wrong test. Many tests are being wasted...blood tests are useless..Our Government workers have to be taught to explain it better.
