Margin calls and massive losses. Instead of the old fashion boiler room we are now seeing the internet used as the pump and dump scams. Unfortunately noobs are the ones holding the bag and even worse on margin.

The transaction just won't take place and he'll be banned from trading in the future.

Transactions already exist. Say you have 30% equity and 70% margin and your trades drop 50-70% you go way in the negative in net value. Basically game over.

I'm just saying that they'll default on the transaction and be banned from trading.

Assuming you mean default on payment of margin balance...yeah. Depending on the amount likely a lawsuit behind it.
