They reported 2.7 billion users. A 12% increase from 2020. But I do agree that some of their users are plummeting. Same with this board.
Amazing that as the pandemic is coming to an end that people aren’t browsing social media as much. Maybe other activities are now possible again. And more people are back to work the past 2 quarters. Not as much time for slacking off on Facebook.
Facebook added 116 million daily active users from Q2 2018 to Q2 2019 and 198 million from Q2 2019 to Q2 2020. A 71% increase in daily active users added over the prior year. Due to the pandemic. It’s not only the dreaded “lefties” that use Facebook. Now get yourself a bowl of chips and get back to trolling.
Not sure of your source but it appears their daily active users were up 8% year over year which led to a 8% surge in stock price.

I just checked my Facebook. The first 6 posts were vaccine related and had the fact check link for vaccine safety. That was followed by a link to see where I can get vaccinated. 2 links to cats doing goofy stuff and then back to another vaccine ad.
Is this a serious post?
For a site with 220 million users just in the United States, even if all 600k Covid deaths were Facebook DAUs that’s not really a statistically significant number. Once you factor in the ages of most of the deaths (75+) and the age breakdown of their users (about 11% are 65+, and likely far fewer over 75) there’s no reason to believe that Facebook’s users died of Covid as an explanation for a downward trend in DAU.
Even suggesting it shows you vastly overestimate the death toll.

No it wasn’t serious. The reason Facebook daily active users is declining is precisely the reasons I previously stated. Society is returning to normal, people are getting jobs. Everybody isn’t locked up in their house 24 hours a day like they were a year ago.
People don’t work 24 hours a day. Returning to work isn’t something driving DAUs down for Facebook.

Lol at the idea that regaining the ability to do other activities as the pandemic winds down has no effect due to “24 hours in a day”. Riiiiiiiiiiiight.
