Ask dementia-man. But, but, but, it’s the travel season. It’s up nearly a dollar a gallon now. Total BS

In the 4 dollar range, and it won't come down much from that level before spiking again.

It’s nice of Trump to bring gas prices down with a pandemic last year but the price level now is consistent with mid May price levels of previous years adjusted for inflation.

5/21/18 $2.923
5/20/19 $2.852
5/17/21 $3.028

I know this isn’t right but some part of me reads “adjusted for inflation” as “when we eliminate the price differences”. The differences that you’ve shown are minor. My fear is that our actions in banning exploratory drilling and cancelling pipelines and the rush to score political points by getting tough on fossil fuels is going to drive prices. I seem to remember President Obama claiming that he’d be happy with $7 or $8 gas. That strikes a major fear note

Inflation adjustments are useful when looking at price changes on a longer term basis, but from year to year it's kind of sketchy.
