Gotta see race in everything, don't you?Let me guess: this must be ANOTHER one of your Aggrieved White Guy rants, amiright.
Funny how our resident ‘conservatives’ are so put off by the advertising campaigns of private businesses. What the hell happened to ‘let the free market rule!’?
Race? I thought KNIGHTTIME was lamenting the fact he wasn't gonna see his super hot-n-sexy Victoria Secret models in their latest ads. There's no end to the list of 'insults' that an aggrieved white male experiences in today's world.Gotta see race in everything, don't you?
Laugh away. I'm pretty sure the company doesn't conduct extensive market research and make a whole bunch of ads to LOSE money.Yes they are publicly traded company that should do whatever they feel will improve their brand. I can still laugh that a butchy purple hair woman could sell more lingerie.
Excuse me, WHO is the one blasting Victoria Secret's freedom of speech here? You like freedom of speech or no?
I'm going to go WAY OUT ON A LIMB here and guess that you are not the company's target demographic, goodknightfl.Yeah, I want to see some guy dressed like a girl with boobs because of estrogen shots and his junk showing thru his/her/its tiny panties...
His "White Conservative" world is changing. He feels like he's loosing control and his inadequacies are being revealed. He believes he must point out all these as injustices so it lines up with his viewpoint of losing his culture and power. Small man disease....without getting to graphic....Let me guess: this must be ANOTHER one of your Aggrieved White Guy rants, amiright.

They all do.His "White Conservative" world is changing. He feels like he's loosing control
Here's a thought: maybe, just maybe, the definition of attractive models is changing. It isn't a secret why more attractive models are used to market anything.
Yeah, Victoria's Secret is going into this ad campaign blind.Let's see if women are drawn into buying undergarments with models that look like men.
The race I was referring to was YOURS: the aggrieved white guy. Based on your OP, it sure as heck looks like you've got a sexism thing going for you too.You don't see your problems? You literally bring up race in stories that have nothing to do with race.

We're talking about YOU, dumbass, and your latest 'aggrievement.'Another one that can't have a discussion that has nothing to do with race and make it "racist"....of course by another white male. 🤣
In recent years, the 'Aggrieved White Male' has become a thing in our society because of what some white guys -- you know, put-upon guys like you -- have complained about a whole laundry list of things.Again...you bring up white male which you're trying to apply race into something that isn't there. It is the typical play card.
H&M has recently started a campaign targeting full figured women of color. Probably smart for them because it opens up two new segments beyond the skinny white chick demo they’ve traditionally held. What’s next? Twin Peaks?
Ooooooohhhhh...I'm using the race card comment on shook bringing up "white male" that has nothing to do with this story. The irony of a guy from Nebraska having this discussion with me is also amusing.
I'm fine having a legitimate conversation about race but it has nothing to do with this story. I was never raised with racism and I always had a diverse group of friends being an athlete in my younger years. The irony is these lefties tend to the most actual racist of them all.
They have every right to do it but I have to wonder if this isn’t just virtue signaling for PR purposes. I would think their demos are men that want to buy something sexy for their wives and women that want to look sexy for their spouses. Granted everyone knows what Victoria’s Secret is now but we don’t keep it in our minds. The ads trigger buy responses, as do the shows. I think seeing trans and alt models exclusively runs a pretty big risk of not only not triggering that buy emotion but also alienating a portion of their customer base.Yes they are publicly traded company that should do whatever they feel will improve their brand. I can still laugh that a butchy purple hair woman could sell more lingerie. Probably not likely but firing pretty models is now inclusive. Are they going to be more inclusive of professional athletes? Maybe a non soccer player should play soccer professionally? 🤷♂️
You like freedom of speech or no?
You just keep digging... so funnyMight be partly done to get the Jeffrey Epstein image out that surrounded VS (of course that sleaze ball was another lefty). Jeffrey had power and influence over vs.
The company is responded to a drop in sales due to a push-back from women (you know, the ones who wear their lingerie) about the narrow range of body type their ads highlighted (similar to the Barbie controversy.) In December, 2020, the brand had a 19% market share in US women's apparel, down from 32% in 2015.I think seeing trans and alt models exclusively runs a pretty big risk of not only not triggering that buy emotion but also alienating a portion of their customer base.
Misleading? Yes, L Brands owns Victoria's Secret but my facts came from a CNN story about Victoria's Secret.More misleading statements.
You start a thread asking questions about why a company would do such an outrageous thing as feature a professional soccer player who "looks like a man" and then dismiss as 'fake news' any attempts to seriously address the questions you posed. There you go. Fake news
This part I agree with. It's the water cooler. Like in current events. It is a pretty national story even if it last only 2 days.
This is one of the primary symptoms of The Aggrieved White Guy Syndrome: You can't fathom how anyone could possibly view things differently than you do.Some things in life aren't inclusive...being ugly usually means you can't be a successful undergarment model. If you can't kick a soccer ball I'm sure Megan wouldn't want to be replaced by someone not good enough.
Maybe this is Victoria's secret. Now, the models are packing?Woke Soccer player Megan Rapihoe (sp?) and some transgender. No more angles. Lol
Maybe sell boxers now?
Edgar Hoover is still alive?Yeah, I want to see some guy dressed like a girl with boobs because of estrogen shots and his junk showing thru his/her/its tiny panties...
I have no idea what demographic they are trying to get.I'm going to go WAY OUT ON A LIMB here and guess that you are not the company's target demographic, goodknightfl.
You’re dumb.Race? I thought KNIGHTTIME was lamenting the fact he wasn't gonna see his super hot-n-sexy Victoria Secret models in their latest ads. There's no end to the list of 'insults' that an aggrieved white male experiences in today's world.

I’m not the one blowharding that “this generation don’t know sex appeal” as if it was invented for you back when you were a testosterone-jacked boy. You’re dumb.
Well, if you’ve followed the thread then you know Victoria’s Secret has been losing its market with its traditional ‘angels’ campaign so something has happened to their tried-and-true schtick. But who knows? Maybe you’re right and it will turn out to be a dumb decision. But my guess is the the people behind it know a hell of a lot more about what will sell with today’s young people than you or goodknightfl.Nobody is saying they shouldn’t be allowed to do this. He’s saying it’s a dumb decision, which it is.
Let me help you out a little bit. You’re using these things called quotation marks. They look like this: “”.I’m not the one blowharding that “this generation don’t know sex appeal” as if it was invented for you back when you were a testosterone-jacked boy.

Okay, I'll agree with you here.Gotta see race in everything, don't you?
