All of a sudden it makes a lot more sense why Fauci hates Rand Paul so much.
It's the one, illogical thing Fauci has done, and repeatedly.
Had Dr. Fauci just 'owned' his advocacy of Gain-of-Function (GoF) and admitted there were cons in addition to positives, then I would have understood.
It's why Dr. Paul was harping on it, repeatedly, and treated him as a 'hostile witness.'
And I've normally defended Dr. Fauci, as well as Dr. Paul ... and the US media demonized Dr. Paul for being 100% truthful and using 100% peer reviewed studies, sadly.
He should be drawn and quartered. Yes, his limbs should literally be pulled off of his body.
I really don't understand the hatred for Dr. Fauci. I have a bigger hatred for the US Media misquoting him, or quoting him out-of-context. Yes, I hate his 'cover your @$$' (CYA) of Gain-of-Function (GoF) too. But how many scientists honestly screw up thinking they were doing the 'right thing?'
I have a bigger problem with 'scientists' who are causing major environmental catastrophies. Like spending decades shutting down new hydro-electric plants, but then pimping wind power. Fluid dynamics 101 ... wind is going to have a far worse environmental impact that hydro. As an engineer, I've yet to have a single 'scientist' even come close to 'winning' that debate.
In fact, most agree with me in the end ... popular science and environmentalism has resulted in worse policies, like the end of all new hydro for 50+ years, and the disaster that is becoming both wind and lithium batteries.

This is a side note but it’s hilarious he goes out of his way to refer to rand Paul as a doctor….Rand Paul MD every time. Rand Paul educating the public on covid is like a structural engineer explaining electricity. It doesn’t make any sense

He included 2 peer reviewed studies from the US NIH.
In fact, he's been on Dr. Fauci using the same too.
You purposely use dr to make him seem credible. Why not call him senator paul instead? Because it’s easier to justify your crazy talk if your source is a “doctor”
I’m not saying he’s not a doctor just that his field of study has no relevance to the topic. I would not take covid advice from Jill Biden either.

And as much as I defend Dr. Fauci, Dr. Paul DID rightly grill him on Gain of Function (GoF), and the US Media demonized him over that! The same thing is going on with Ivermectin right now, despite it also being used off-label for HIV and AIDS too!

Did you even listen to or read his statements? The peer reviewed studies? He was 100% factual. He's backed by many others. The most cloth masks do is work like a gas baffle, preventing splashes, but don't do anything to protect. Even N95 have limits in protection as well, and doctors largely only wear them to limit dropage and other transfer.
That's why medical themselves professionals have been recommending P99 and P100.
And they are following the IMASK+ protocol with a preventive set of cocktails too.
Right now we have 18 doctors with the FDA, WHO and others saying Boosters are NOT the way forward. They are complaining about the decisions without data. And even the Israeli data is sombering. We literally have mandates without any scientific evidence, and possibly contrary evidence too. They are arguing for a completely different approach.
I'm really tired of the utter assumption and total lack of evidence or -- worse yet -- lying that something is sticking, when it's not, after it was thrown against the wall. We used to be empirical. But all people have proven is that we now have a blind 'pro-vax' movement that is as blind and rabid as 'anti-vax.' This "Do Something!" attitude is just more throw sh-- at the wall, hope it sticks, and even lie about it when it doesn't.
That's what Rand was calling out, and he is dead correct. Maybe you should read the authorities he quoted before you dismiss him. But ... alas ... that would actually require you not to assume.
