how about giving them the cool half million and an one way plane ticket back home? A half million can go a long long way in Honduras. plus if they are entrepreneurs they could start a business back home and help their own communities. Call it foreign aid and be done with it. The caveat is if you take the money and come back to the US you will go to jail.

That's not even 1/3rd to 1/10th of what a citizen/family receives for wrongful prosecution/death for worse things, and there are far less cases where they win too.

This is what is pissing a lot of citizens off.
