They changed their name from 5 and 10 to 1.00 35 years ago. In reality nearly nothing in the store was or still is a dollar. In a related story, they're now "Buck and a Quarter Tree"
Same with gas prices. I could have sworn it was the aftermath of the world's economies gearing up again following the pandemic.I searched high and low in that article and missed the spot where "Dollar tree says because of Biden the prices will no longer be a $1."
LOL It's called an over-supply. Wall Street was in a panic about that too.Why was gas way cheaper prior to covid?
Clearly the economy sucked back then. Why was gas way cheaper prior to covid? Nothing to do with our chud president not giving drilling permits or pipelines.

I’ll tweet it and he’ll find it like a fly on fresh shit. Then it will be factual and the circle jerk will commence with the usual moronsStill waiting for knighttime to produce the exact source where "Dollar tree says because of Biden the prices will no longer be a $1."
I'm thinking all these months of doing research on Twitter has made its mark.
The Dollar Tree was still at a dollar. It’s Dollar General that left that price point behind. They changed their name from 5 and 10 to 1.00 35 years ago. In reality nearly nothing in the store was or still is a dollar.
Are you saying the price of items at dollar tree hadn’t increased in the past 35 years since they changed from the 5c/10c to the dollar moniker? Or are you saying they still had some Chinese junk items priced at a dollar up until now?The Dollar Tree was still at a dollar. It’s Dollar General that left that price point behind.
Melvin loves autistically screeching about fake news but has no problem being a profligate to it when it suits his agenda.I’ll tweet it and he’ll find it like a fly on fresh shit. Then it will be factual and the circle jerk will commence with the usual morons
I’m saying that you can go to their website today and look at prices and everything is a dollar unless it’s on sale. Unless you wanted to actually go into a Dollar Tree and confirm it in person. Are you saying the price of items at dollar tree hadn’t increased in the past 35 years since they changed from the 5c/10c to the dollar moniker? I never understood how their business model even works. I've only been in one of their stores one time, but it all looked like imported goods. It just seems impossible that something can be manufactured overseas, shipped across the ocean, unloaded, taken by truck across the country, then unloaded and placed on shelves by employees, and still carry enough of a margin that it can pay for overhead.I’m saying that you can go to their website today and look at prices and everything is a dollar unless it’s on sale. But the price of goods still increased over 35 years. So they went from actually providing decent items to being a junk store over that time. They didn’t increase the price of items, they simply stopped carrying them and replaced them with cheaper shit. Which they could continue to do if they wanted. But they stated they wanted more flexibility to keep some popular items around rather than just nixing them when they aren’t profitable selling at $1.I’m saying that you can go to their website today and look at prices and everything is a dollar unless it’s on sale.
