It's interesting how the USA views this vs Canada. This is frowned upon in the US, in Canada she would have received $5000/kid/year, subsidized housing, free daycare and summer camp.
It's how you value the potential of a child. Canada has a declining birthrate so they embrace babies and immigration. The US has a declining birthrate amongst its citizens so we allow or close our eyes to immigrants.
If you want to adopt a kid in Canada, you get $5000 too. It's way cheaper than incarcerating them as adults.

San Francisco is following suit. 15 grand to have a child if you a pacific islander or black.
She can't afford them but the country needs them to support the normal population pyramid. When we get old, we need people to pay taxes to support our retirement.

The problem is that you’re raising 15 kids in the mentality that they are entitled to the fruits of others’ labors just because they exist. That it is perfectly right that others bear the responsibility for your bad life decisions.
If we truly need to encourage a birth rate surge, we should encourage it amongst all of our people, not just those at the bottom of the income spectrum.
Imagine the outrage if Des Moines Iowa started exclusively paying middle class white women 1000 bucks a month during pregnancy and 6 months post delivery.
If we’re truly going to be fair about it. We should tally up how much is needed by those that have a kid with the most financial need. Then everyone that has a kid gets an account credit with that much every year. If you take social services, it comes out of that account. If you don’t take social services, you get that amount back at the end of the year. I think that might encourage more of the career-based people in our country to have a few more kids. If this argument is about birth rate and all.
We have been encouraging a birth rate surge for decades but people aren't having kids! If this were 1920 when people had 8-10 kids in order to maintain the farm instead of 2020, I would agree with you. Supply and Demand. We need kids, she has them, if she can't take care of them then find someone who can. Support and nurture the kids instead of shaming mama on Youtube.
I’m all for fixing the adoption laws and parental rights issues to allow more functional people to take these kids. But don’t beatify this woman. She is dysfunctional and our society should have something to say about it.

From other countries. Support the kids so that they can become productive adults.
You know why that is though and it’s another example of leftist legislation removing responsibility for people’s actions. As long as a birth parent can sue for the return of a willfully given up child in this country, you will see parents looking overseas to adopt.

We don't close our eyes to immigrants. We just want it done legally. I actually think we should make it a little easier to get in for those who wish to become Americans. But still think we need the Borders sealed.
We do close our eyes to illegal immigrants when if benefits business (farming, meat plants) or sanctuary cities. Both side do.
Not just legal but controlled and monitored. Maybe even be able to protect the labor market for our current citizens so that illegals don’t come in and drive down wages. It should be extremely easy to get in if you’re bringing a skill set we need. It should be harder (read longer wait or greater sacrifice) if you’re just going to compete in a saturated segment of the labor force.
Then, once you’re in, we should do something like Germany does and require cultural examinations at intervals to ensure that you at least understand the value system and culture in place in this country of which you’re trying to say that you want to be a proud part.

You are missing the larger picture. She has 15 kids to take care, the bread winner is gone, she now has no way to take care of them. The kids are the future of our nation and we should be investing in them instead of telling mom to go back in time and not have them. That ship sailed.
I get it but then you send the message to every 12 year old girl that is going baby crazy that “it’s alright, do what you want, Uncle Sam will take care of you.” You’re incentivizing deleterious behavior. How do you balance the two?
And if those kids are really going to be the future of this nation, then they need to be removed from that woman’s care and put into healthy homes where they will have a chance to grow and learn a value system different from the one she lives by.
I like to focus on the problems that we have, not the ones that we create. We don't have a problem with teen pregnancy, it's at an all time low. People don't want to have babies. The problem that we do have is a low birth rate which doesn't sustain the population pyramid.
