More like Fan Bust...Amirite?!
All jokes aside, this speaks volumes to where we are as a program and how we are growing organically. I’m sure next year they’ll be more prepared, and interested to see make-goods for those that didn’t get what was promised.
Took the old man out for lunch today and he wanted to pop in to the nearest Academy Sports (Hunter’s Creek by the Loop for you locals) to peep some new gear.
Wide selection and we are prominently featured. Good friend of mine is a regional marketing manager for Academy so I always try to support when I can...and boy did I!
During the adidas days I had several gold polos but never pulled the trigger on a white polo. Clean, stacked Nike Dri-Fit for $40! Fits great and expect to get several stains on it this season, but that is the cost of doing business and not dying in the Florida heat.
Being as I got such a good deal, I peeped the hat selection. I have a ton of NewEra fitteds and Nike sideline coach hats, but this was only $20, clean surfer vibe. (Cabana swag ) Comfortable and it wore great by the pool since I NARF’d today and skipped Fan Fest.
Feeling good I perused the Back-To-School shoe specials and found some of the most comfortable UCF Nike Revolution 4 ID trainers I’ve ever worn. How sharp are these, in anthracite chain-metal for only $50?!
Adjustable Orlando’s Hometown Team Logo made it a must buy.
All in all, a really good haul along with a pair of Nike Golf shorts (seen one, seen them all)
for a little over a hundred. Check them out and everything here is on the Academy site. Best apparel I’ve seen in Central Florida outside of East Orlando.
TL/DR: I didn’t get a Mackenzie Milton autograph either. Had lunch with my pops at Hooters and then splurged on quality UCF gear at the local Academy Sports.
