Not a good look...

Don't think this was an accident or coincidence of some sort? They should issue an apology either way.

I’m sure it wasn’t intentional. Probably posted by someone that was born 25 years after the incident. I asked random young people at my job if they could tell me what happen at Kent State about 50 years ago and all were clueless. Even some older people didn’t know.

OH please, whine ON. Just some actual facts, UCF professors had a collection to buy bullets for the National Guard, at that time. SOURCE: UCF S. American history professor 1986. You have to be an incredibly whining git to go past the hurricane and use of National Guard to dredge up 1970s. It wasn't intentional, it was a stupid mistake from someone not even remotely born in the 1970s. Grow up, you should all realize young people have no idea what Kent St in the 70s means. It was a stupid mistake. Yes apologize to the 1% of Kent St students and faculty from the 70s that are still there, and move on. Definitely not intentional, and anyone thinking it was, would actually believe that a social media 'expert' would do a post when we beat a HBC "Lynching in Orlando". Good God are you that pathetic?

I am impressed they know who Shannon Sharpe is.

It isn't good, but lets be honest, we've seen worse. As Auburn Legacy wrote, they know Shannon Sharpe.
But somebody needed to save them last night. Thankfully the guy on the phone was there to save them 3 times.

Anybody who is really upset about that never rode in the back of a pickup truck as a kid, always wore their seatbelt growing up and probably needs to chill out for a second. Is it a good look for UCF, probably not. But there are far worse things said on social media every day. I seriously doubt more than a handful of non Ohioans under the age of 40 would know very much about the slight, most likely including the person who made the post

Well , it's not worse than what our good friend Matt Grothe joked about the marshall plane crash and turbulence. It was an odd tweet . People make mistakes . The only way out of cancel culture is stop cancelling.

I agree.

This was obviously referencing Shannon Sharpe’s sideline clip where he picked up the phone and asked the “President” to bring in the “National Guard” because they were winning so badly. Poor UCF, they unintentionally picked the worst time to make it apparently. I would’ve never connected it to a previous incident at Kent State.

Yeah. The other (offensive) context actually makes no sense as a joke.

What’s not a good look is our gold numbers are super yellowish. Why can’t we have a gold like Colorado. Both are Nike

Not crazy about these new uni‘s either. I really loved all the colors/combinations during the Scott Frost ”era”. His close friendship with Phil Knight really improved our look and coolness factor on the field.
Uniforms are definitely an important factor in recruiting and casual fans have been shown to root for teams that have better colors and combinations.
Why did we mess with such a good thing? 🤔
