Notre Dame Cathedral on Fire

Maybe 85 will write the child rapists another check or two.

Very sad to see this.

Almost as bad: spacecoastknight's take in the Dungeon thread on this subject. First rate troll job, except I don't think he intends it to be that way.

Really cool post man . Keep up the good work

For anyone following along:

Off topic personal attacks by posters that bt agrees with politically: get a like and laugh

Off topic personal attacks by posters that bt disagrees with politically: not ok

Way to keep those stereotypes alive.

It’s always good to see the subhuman sack of shits reveal themselves immediately. He’s just embarrassed from being banned by Brandon and having it know that he’s a racist who hurled racial slurs at someone he thought to be Hispanic

The funny thing is I just responded to Crazy’s context, addressed the obvious lie as presented by someone which we had seen before and debunked, and still apparently ended up on Ninja. I’m sure he’s busy hurling obscenities multiple posts in a row now.

What did spacecoastnutjob have to offer? I’m sure it was intelligent and full of malapropisms.

Visited it in 2016. Apparently it was built in 1100 or 1300 AD or so. The coronation of Napoleon took place there in 1804. Funny thing is it’s just as well known now for all the crazy pigeons outside.

Pretty cathedral and a top place to visit in Paris. Badly damaged inside due to all the wood burning and some other logistical problems putting out fires quickly

Two to three posts in he was saying that France brought it on themselves and that they should build the wall now.

Solid shitty take by nut.

Of course, I say this and with my luck we will probably find out in a week some jihadist started a fire in the shitter at Notre Dame.

Initial reports are saying it was due to the roof repair going on.

So with that said I fully expect gal to blame "the blacks" again.

The good news is that it appears that the foundation, including the bell towers and rose window survived so it can be rebuilt around them -- and serious money has already been pledged to do it.

The bad news is that once again this board has proven it can use ANY TOPIC as an excuse to engage in an insult war.

If only one day you could specifically call out the hate filled liberals who derailed this thread to begin with

LMAO. You whine about "hate-filled" liberals who derailed this thread while you carried around your own flame-thrower.

How exactly did this gem of yours pertain to the fire at the historic Notre Dame Cathedral?

We all already know you don't, but it is nice to see you fully admit that child rape doesn't fill you with anger and hate. Somehow, it makes you want to whip out your checkbook and give your money away.

(K.R.) DEVELOPING STORY: MAN ARRESTED WITH GAS CANS INSIDE ST. PATRICK’S CATHEDRAL

Updated 1:41am et - A 37-year-old man was found inside St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City tonight with four gallons of gasoline, accelerant, and butane lighters. Marc Lamparello, a philosophy professor from New Jersey, was confronted by church ushers and arrested around 8pm et.

NYPD Deputy Commissioner of Intelligence and Counterterrorism John Miller said it was too soon to determine whether Lamparello was trying to commit an act of terror, but that his explanations to police weren’t consistent.

“His basic story was that he was cutting through the cathedral to get to Madison Avenue, that his car had run out of gas,” Miller said. “We took a look at the vehicle. It was not out of gas.”

Lamparello, who is known to law enforcement officials, is being detained for questioning. He has two prior arrests in New Jersey for criminal trespass and public drunkenness.

“It’s hard exactly to say what his intentions were. But I think the totality of circumstances, of an individual walking into an iconic location like St. Patrick’s Cathedral, carrying over four gallons of gasoline, two bottles of lighter fluid and lighters, is something that we would have great concern over," Miller said. The man’s mental health may be an issue.

The cathedral, which was built in 1878, has more fire-suppression systems than the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris that burned earlier this week. St. Patrick’s has a sprinkler system and its wooden roof is coated with fire retardant.

He may have a Ph.D. in philosophy, but Marc is clearly not the sharpest tool in the shed.

lol at the school that handed that guy a phd. those degrees are basically worthless.
Now, now, Wayne. You're being a bit harsh here.

You never know when someone is going to suddenly confront you with a life-altering question that requires a thoughtful answer.

How could Professor Marc have known it would be "What the hell are you doing with 4 gallons of gasoline in church?" versus "What are your thoughts on Aristotle's 'ladders of life'?

Well we can rest assured that his answer to the 2nd question would be negative. Of all of the religions that embrace a secular philosopher, the Catholics stand head and shoulders above all others in their indirect reverance for Aristotle.

So, it turns out that the French Government, who own every Church in France since 1902, may have let ND go into disrepair over a dispute with the Monsignor who didn't want to turn a historic place of worship into just another tourist trap.

The state pushed Notre Dame to follow the example set by other historic churches that charge an entrance fee. Monsignor Patrick Chauvet, rector of Notre Dame, pushed back, according to a fundraiser present at the meetings, wary of turning a place of worship into another commercial tourist stop.

When a culture ministry official visited the cathedral during a religious feast day one year, Msgr. Chauvet gestured toward the crowds. “Who are the tourists here?” he asked. “Can you pick out who I should charge?”

“Keeping the cathedral free has always been the wish of the clergy,” said Mr. Finot, the Notre Dame spokesman.

Yellow vest protestors are angry that private citizens are donating money to rebuild this 850 year old church and not mailing personal checks to them instead.
