Now that is what we expect from our Football Program!

Enjoy the win, but I'm hoping Monday someone asks "What finally sunk in... what was finally understood.... what did we finally do for whoever it was to produce this game." Instead, I fear we'll get 'We'll finish strong"....then lose to the next team in an embarrassing way.

It seems like finally something worked--- here's hoping we know what it was.

We just gave OK ST a real old-fashioned butt kicking....it may have been the best overall game since Gus took over as HC. Congrats to the Coaches and Players. Everybody did their job. Let's make this game the rule not the exception under Gus....
Couldn’t have said it any better. A win like this is where we expect this program to be. I understand we’ve improved our competition with the conference upgrade, and it’s not realistic to win every game we play. However, UCF has been the “new kid on the block” for over the past decade and we need to keep that attitude going! What a great win to reenergize this season!

Exactly!! Like I said we could beat temple 45-3 or have this amazing win

we weren't misguided to have high expectations. this is how gus rolled at auburn so i don't know what this means.

what this game means for the season will be defined by how UCF does the next 2-3 games. Otherwise it’s just chalked up to a Gus WTF win. Remember we beat #20 and #17 last year and then got beat by Navy at home to start a 12 game span where our FBS wins were usf and Kent state teams with no FBS victories and Boise.

It was nice to watch the other team deal with the bad breaks (turnovers inside the 20) like we have had to deal with all season.

2 questions will remain as far as this game and season go:
1) with a healthy JRP how good could this team be?
2) with coaches who were willing to go for broke (especially defense alignment against run) how good could this team be?

I guess we will get a partial answer over the next 2 weeks. If we win out, then we can say that we did have conference winning talent this season. Also, that our coaching staff is learning in the process. Gus said himself in interview after the game that they decided above all else to stop the run and that he also said that they were going to take more risks and throw the ball more down the field for this game (finally).

I'm not going to say anything else this month and see what the next 2 weeks brings. At least it was very enjoyable to see the team play their best this week. The team knows what is required to win in the Big 12 now and that they can do it (now they need to recruit). NOTE: Gundy in his aftergame interview noted that our recruiting region in the Central Florida region was going to be a real problem for the league moving forward :)

Watching Bowman walk off the field dejected after multiple Henderson INTs gives me an abundance of joy .

The rain helped also! After jumping out on a big lead, that rain came at the most opportune time for UCF making that ball slippy and the field soggy (advantage defense).

I was mad that they were still running JRP and Rj late in the 4th with the game out of hand. Why risk injury?

But, that's only negative I can see.

Winning cures everything! A blow out like that is making my coffee taste great this morning!

I don't know. They were never able to run. We were never not able to pass, rain or no rain. The rain took away OSUs passing.

The run defense was amazing.

the rain helped the defense by slowing down the offense just enough. I was surprised the Defense was able to wrap up so well they bounce off dry players but stuck to the wet ones.

I hope we can keep improving. Charge On

Causing turnovers and capitalizing on those turnovers was a game changer. Offense was pretty much well called. I don't recall seeing a dedicated effort to pass the ball vertically before even though we've been told that's what is gonna be done.

"I think the game was well in hand b4 the rain started". Baylor says hello.

This guy has Charlie Strong disease:
“It’s just those games that you know you shouldn’t lose,” OSU star running back Ollie Gordon told Cowboy Radio Network. “And this was one of those that we shouldn’t have lost.”

The defense hasn’t played the second half all year. Until it was dead certain they couldn’t come back…keep the starters in and the foot on the gas.

It's not a quality win according to @mattropolis when OKST finishes 55th in the final polls.
Every win is good but that is correct. When it is all said and done it would be a win over the #55 team in the country. You're catching on.

Every season also hinges on 2-3 games as well but you don't always know which games they are until the season is almost over. For example, if we beat Baylor and Oklahoma we are 7-3 (4-3) right now and ranked. I think we'd all be pretty happy with that, especially knowing we played with our backup @K-State and Kansas. I know I would be. That would have been greatly exceeding my expectations for the season so far.
