He made up a ridiculous excuse about his "security detail" being the reason he can't attend Scalia's funeral, yet he's sending Biden who basically has the exact same size security detail, thus rendering his bullshit excuse as bullshit.
At the very same time, he met with BLM militants who surely were there to justify and excuse the wave of violence their members have been inflicting over the past few months.
Oh, and while he was there paying lip service to BLM, he has still yet to say a single thing about the 7 officers who were killed on duty in the past 2 weeks.

Indeed. As much as I question the President's motives at times (and have since he started stating the BS he'd do before he ever got in, knowing he wouldn't/counldn't), I try to keep a level, non-partisan head about these things.
Any conspiracy theories around this are pretty much laughable, or at least more laughable than the few when the Israeli PM was invited by Congress (there was some history and precedent there, none of it in the President's favor either).
SIDE NOTE: I don't like the acronym BLM for Black Lives Matter, as it sounds like the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).

The problem is that 'Black Lives Matter' is pissing off a lot of Latinos.
There's an echo in that in how Irish-Americans, the 2nd most (3rd most if you include Native Americans) discriminated ethnic group 100 years ago, were treated, and looked at as "another insensitive (if not racist) white" in the national media. Then Irish-Americans became the majority in the US (35% at its peak) in the 20th century.
By next decade, Latino-Americans will be the majority, and they are the 2nd most discriminated against today, looked at as "another racist white." From Zimmerman (anyone read the Miami Herald when that was going on) to Marquez (not even after the video has it been covered by the national media, other than Fox News and USA Today), you can see the seeds. Even Jeb Bush had his reasons for barking back 'All Lives Matter' when challenged, and I've been trying to get people to understand why he's adamant.
It's not going to be good for 'Black Lives Matter' ... they are building a backlash. I.e., it's not white Americans, most who do have their guilt and recognize their past privilege, but people who are not, but thrown in as "just another insensitive (or even racist) white person."
Many Democrats and Republicans are being total hypocrites right now, in reverse. This is just how some of them act, especially in an election year. Democrats use fillabusters just as much, you just don't hear it in the media as much.
I mean, it's so pathetic that the Democrats -- even the same ones saying there is no 'unwritten rule' -- have used the exact same, 'unwritten rule' (and even as far back as 18 months) when a Republican has been the White House!
