UCF OFFENSE (5 games):
84 first downs. 12% were given by the opponent due to penalty. 25% gained by running the ball
81 points. 24 (30%) of those points have been off turnovers so credit the defense, thus 57 points have been off legit offensive drives from kick-offs/punts.
3 total points in the 3rd quarter.
247 yards rushing (including lost yardage - sacks and TFLs) for an average of 49.4 yd/game or 1.7 yd/rush
13 turnovers. 9 interceptions and 4 fumbles. 48 points-off-turnovers (POT) (35% of opponents points)
14 sacks

UCF DEFENSE (5 games):
0 interceptions
4 fumble recovers. As stated above, 24 points were scored off these turnovers (3 TDs and 1 FG). Credit to the defense.
138 points given up. 90 points minus POT. In a perfect world, the defense would only be allowing 18 pts/game if we never committed a turnover.

Observations
1. Our offense has given up 48 points while our defense has taken 24 points. Based on these numbers, we start every game losing 5-0 (think of it like a handicap, no pun intended)
2. Other than passing for a firstdown, we can depend on opponent penalty for a firstdown nearly as much as a rushing firstdown.
3. We come out at halftime flat by giving up 53 points (40% of total points given up) and only scoring 3 (4% of our total points).
4. Aside from our inability to run the football, 3 of our loses are due to turnovers rather than play calling. I'm going to get heat for this observation, but if you step out the box then you will see this is a fact.
5. We should be 3-2 maybe 4-1 with a possible win over USC. I bet GOL has that written down on his secretly held season prediction sheet.
