Let’s talk about the offense 4 games in before we start conference play

The good - JRP, Richardson and Harvey look great running the ball. We go through stretches where it looks like some of the good offenses we’ve had the last few years. When healthy there’s a lot of weapons to use

The bad - The passing game gets stalled too easily. We’ve had some terrible drops. At least 3 sure TDs have been dropped and JRP has missed at least 2 easy TD throws. With his throwing ability he can’t miss the easy ones. Bowser has struggled and needs to continue to be phased down in carries. He just doesn’t seem to have it this year. I’d be interested to see scoring drives with Harvey/Richardson getting the majority of snaps vs Bowser.

Looking forward I really don’t think we’re far away from putting things together. If ROK and Hudson don’t drop throws and JRP makes an easy throw we’re looking at 40+ points against GT and those are plays we’re capable of making. I think with Harvey getting more snaps it’s going to make things easier for JRP too. Getting long runs from our RB on 1st down allows us to move quicker. I’m not going to pretend GT is a great team but they have size and speed on their defense as good as pretty much anyone in our conference except maybe Cincy. Our skill guys are 4 games in to playing together. The talent is there now it just needs to come together and make the plays they’re capable of.
