I am no football genius but I did play in high school and college. We can't run block at all. Every team we play owns the line of scrimmage. Our QBs usually don't have time for slow developing vertical routes either. We saw this today but wouldn't it be advantageous to put the QB in shotgun with 4 wide and 1 back? Run nothing but 3 receivers running 5-12 yard slants, hitches, curls, outs, screens, and crossing routes. Some plays the back stays in to pick up blitzes and other plays he releases out. 4th receiver runs a deep route. QB should never have the ball for more than 2 seconds or so. Quick read then throw. Draw play every so often. The young QBs probably did this in high school so there is a comfort level. Every time we go to this offense we have some success. At some point, QB pump fakes and that deep route is there. Our conference defenses aren't exactly high caliber so I think we would do very well. We have to throw 40+ times a game because we can't RUN block at all. What is Key honestly doing all week with this team?
