Official Bowl Predictions Thread

No longer the Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl (Tampa, Florida) against Virginia.

I’d take an LSU matchup even though it’s a likely L. The way we played vs usf, there aren’t any bowl eligible teams I would have confidence in beating anyway.
Valid point, losing to Western Kentucky, UAB, or Marshall in a bowl game wouldn't be a great message to B12 and any recruits not signed yet.

Mohijar did mention on the radio he's lobbying for an instate bowl location this year. Although not a popular vote, I predict the Cure Bowl against App State.

Florida would do anything not to play us. App State would not be an easy game. We need a team with just 6 wins.

Would be like traveling back to 2016 for the program.

I think that’s the closest analogy for this team. I think the talent levels are similar. The difference is that we don’t think that Keene is the QB of the future, though not many people thought KZ was either after year 1.

Maybe this is me being pessimistic, but I really don’t think we win against the vast majority of bowl eligible teams this year. We really padded our record against awful teams, many of whom we just barely squeaked by. I think if we’re matched up against any of the P5 opponents that are being predicted, it is going to look like the BYU, Cinci, or SMU game.

Don't hate but their QB is real good. Would rather lose by 10 to a p5 team than by 3 to Utah State

Another ugh....would rather decline and spend full time on recruiting. Not even extra practices would be worth it.

Buck up fellas. I have been watching and learning stuff from the P5 over the years.. In 2 short seasons we will be P5 so start acting like it. let's say we play LSU and lose . Reach into your back pocket and pull out excuse 42. Well, we just weren't motivated . If we play Florida and lose we can use it there too or try this one , our best players were sidelined with selfitis . It's a new disease created by NIL and transfer portal sickness.

I am a diehard Knight and I think on one hand I am proud of the team this season but on the other I think we might be the luckiest or worse 8-4 team in the land.

I am down with the Tampa, Birmingham or Shreveport. I hope we don't get to Fenway. New England in the winter ? No thanks . Yah Boston is cool and all but I don't want walk around outside being a tourist in 20 degrees . 😂

I have no predictions on where we end up. GKCO

In this era of bowl game opt outs by many of the better players of each team, bowl games have become more of an exhibition game and less of a season's culmination. I would say that mostly, conference championships are the last games of the season where most teams put their best product on the field.

The main benefit of a bowl game now seems to be analysis of your talent pool going forward and, of course, additional practices for that talent to further gel going into the next season.

I think that in a sense, UCF is a "winner" already just by achieving a 8-4 record despite all of the challenges, i.e. coaching change, system change, recent recruiting lag, many incoming transfers adjustments, tons of injuries including our starting qb, backup qb was a true freshman, etc..

We may not have won 8 games with flying colors,, but we did show that we are a program that can and will compete even in the midst of significant challenges.

So whatever bowl game and opponent we draw, I am, largely, pleased that this year's team showed tons of heart, pride, the ability to adjust and had no quit in them at all. Charge On!
