"When it passed the new law, the legislature intended to strip local governments of the power to ban permit holders from carrying guns in local, public parks and similar areas. As the law moved through the legislative process, many people raised concerns about unintended consequences. In a recent opinion, the Tennessee Attorney General interpreted the law as not allowing local governments to ban guns in their parks and other recreational facilities, even if the governments contract with third parties to operate the facilities. This interpretation opens the door to concealed carry permit holders being allowed to bring their weapons into facilities like Nissan Stadium, FedEx Forum, and Bridgestone Arena, which are all owned by local governments and operated by third parties. The AG's interpretation of the law would certainly conflict with a league policy banning guns in these facilities."

How is an NFL stadium different from any other public place?
commitment to alcohol consumption paired with raging testosterone and high-strung emotions. Anyone who has sat in an NFL upper deck knows that adding guns to the equation is a bad idea.

but hey....go guns and whatever stupid shit.

If one person has a gun someone else does too. Im sure they'll think twice before getting "emotional".

This could have some real potential in cities like Philadelphia. It would be like the wild west in the stands with that trashy tornado bait trailer camp trash fanbase. Santa Claus might actually have a chance...

Since you guys know your CCW laws, I'm sure you already knew that it is unlawful to carry a firearm into any situation where you will knowingly be consuming alcohol. There's a law against carrying firearms into establishments that primarily sell booze (bars), but it's also already illegal to carry a firearm if you're intending to consume alcohol.

PS- your claim to lawful self defense basically flies out the window if you've even touched booze and discharge a firearm.

It's amazing- I attend SHOT Show in f*cking Las Vegas every year, which attracts 80,000 gun enthusiasts, 90% of which can legally carry a firearm, and yet no one ever ends up dead or shot. In....Las Vegas.

Booze is a bigger problem then guns.

You are also not permitted to carry on private property where it is expressly forbidden.

In other words, if they say you can't bring in firearms, you can't bring in firearms.

Was gonna post that Santa (or a robot) doesn't stand a chance in Philly.

Still thankful there weren't any CCW rAcIsTs gun toters at either of the last movie theater shootings or the church in SC - would've made things so much worse*

Besides there's popo all over stadiums & they love to shoot innocent people lately I'd be as concerned about them

Fans shooting a wide receiver - last zone of defense during blown coverage.

Doesnt the yearly adult video convention go on at the same time? Perhaps everyone is just too damn happy with all the perky tits walking around to stay angry for long?

Football doesn't have a lot of dead time to add dialogue. Baseball is all dead time with people just standing around so they can constantly be talking.

There is space between plays but they aren't just standing there like most do in baseball between pitches. They're calling plays, figuring out formations, etc. There isn't action, but it's not really dead time.
