It makes me feel sick to say this, but I miss Gabriel... How I've longed to see some actual superb QB play.

What could of been, we'd be playing in the Cotton Bowl for sure, the offense would have taken a ton of pressure off the defense.

Teams who thrive, have consistent QB play, that's the major difference in the Good vs Great teams.

One more, I promise to get off the Nut hugging mood, but Gabriel beat Bethune on two long runs, one of which for a TD. There's some real UCF parallels going on here.

Ok, I'm done here.

really smart by Lebby on that last drive preventing FSU from subbing on defense

FSU responds tie game

Lebby play calling is just outstanding. Setting up plays, making the right call time and time again. Running on 3rd and 10 with misdirection.

Lebby - It just so amazing that he can direct an offense that regularly has a top 10 recruiting class in the nation to a 6-7 record.

I couldn't watch the game, was DG better than his stat line? Looks like a pretty clean game but nothing otherworldly.

I saw he had two 100-yard rushers as well. Always a QB's best friend there. I followed along on Twitter and you'd swear some of our fanbase would rather have 6-7 with DG dropping dimes than 9-5 playing in a CCG with JRP. I don't have any hate for him but I still don't think DG has displayed the chops of Bortles, KZ, MK, and hell even JRP coming back into the CCG game showed me he's got some grit. All the arm strength in the world though, no question.

When's the last time Oklahoma was this bad? I literally can't recall them losing more than a few games in a year.

I think I saw 1988 on twitter.

He wouldn’t go 6-7 in the AAC this year . I think the reason is bc he actually can throw the ball deep and in general it is more entertaining to watch as a fan compared to a QB like Plumlee who is too dumb to make a check at the line of scrimmage . And we lost every big game this year after Cinci

No one saying he is/was Bortles or KZ

After watching a game like that, It’s quite obvious 1) our offensive and defensive line players are way too small, weak and slow 2) our “QB” can not succeed in a P5 league without having a pocket presence, the ability to read defenses, or quickly go through progressions to find the open receiver.

In addition to Malzahn‘s ridiculously bad play calling, I just don’t think There is enough P5 talent on our roster to consistently win. Exceptions for our running backs, a few wide receivers and our field goal kicker.

Look I also enjoyed the dimes to Gabe more than the scampers from JRP, I won't lie. But the result is still 6 points either way. I also pray for great OC and QB coach hires because I do believe JRP is capable of tremendous stuff. There's no question he's among the better athletes we've ever had in the program but he needs better protection and absolutely must get better positional coaching. That's where I have frustration with Gus because he got his guy but he hasn't done nearly enough to support him.

WTF??? You are talking about a part time QB who will be fully occupied with another sport for the next 5-6 months and who fully intended to play that sport THIS YEAR too. He is the one limiting his progress, not the coaching staff.

Great athlete, and could see him playing in the NFL at RB and special teams. But a QB needs to have full-time dedication.

Dillon is good no doubt about it. Throws great passes, smart, knows when to run.

I think you summed it up perfectly. You could easily see the athlete size difference from the game last night.

Plumlee stats in 5 losses this season.

1 Td, 8 Turnovers

17 receptions for 290 yds and 1 TD for 2022. Not too bad for his first full year there, although he only has two years of eligibility yet.
