Oklahoma State is Begging Fans to Attend Basketball Game vs. UCF

Reminds me of the 2013(?) football game against SMU that was free because of cold weather in Dallas too.

Nobody wants to see this trash matchup. Don't blame them. Oddly, it's actually on TV (ESPN U). Who thought that was a good idea? Should have been relegated to The Ocho. We lost 6 in a row by an average of 10 points per game. It's ugly right now.

BTW, Kansas 57 BYU 91. Road loss. Can't believe we let that last game vs BYU at home slip away.

The Series with UCF:
  • UCF leads the all-time series 3-0 (2-0 Big 12 era).
  • This is the first of two games in 15 days between the teams with OSU making the return visit to Orlando on Mar. 5 for what will be its first ever appearance at Addition Financial Arena.
  • The teams met twice in 13 days near the end of the 2023-24 season -- the first in Stillwater (Feb. 28) and the latter in the first round of the Big 12 Championship in Kansas City (Mar. 12). The Knights by scores of 77-71 and 77-62.

It is obvious to Ai:

Oklahoma State may not be able to play defense, but neither can the Knights. UCF allows the most points per game in the Big 12. In fact, their 79.6 points allowed per game ranks 18th-worst in the entire nation. The Knights allow the second-highest field goal percentage in the Big 12, and the fourth-highest three-point percentage. UCF also allows teams to grab the most offensive rebounds per game against them. They struggle to box out on defense, and it hurts them a lot. If Oklahoma State can take advantage of this lack of defense, they will win this game at home.

UCF is not a good conference team, and they are currently on a six-game losing streak. They have played some close games, but they have not been able to get it done late in the game. Additionally, the Knights are 2-5 in true road games this season while Oklahoma State is 9-3 at home. Not only is UCF playing poor basketball lately, but they do not play well when they have to travel. With the way the Knights are playing lately, and on the road this season, the Cowboys should be able to grab their fifth conference win of the season.

just googlin' around:

Oklahoma State vs UCF Prediction

Oklahoma State is going to find success in this game. At home, they have been a solid team this year, and I just don’t trust the UCF defense. UCF is giving up 79.4 points per game and they are going to have some major issues again here. Oklahoma State hasn’t been exactly known for their offense but they are going to have no issue putting on a show here. This is going to be a comfortable victory for Oklahoma State. Back Oklahoma State against the spread.

Matchup Preview

In a matchup between UCF and Oklahoma State, the Knights will look to overcome injuries to key players Jaylin Sellers and Jordan Ivy-Curry. UCF will need to rely on their depth to compete against a struggling Oklahoma State team with a record of 12-19. The Cowboys will aim to take advantage of UCF's injury woes and secure a much-needed victory. Expect a close and competitive game, with both teams fighting hard for the win. Our pick: over

I don’t even understand what we are doing. No Thiam. If I’m Ok State I’m dominating us in the paint. I guess this isn’t saying much since we’re already down 14 right now.

Hall certainly isn’t coming back to this shitshow.

Oklahoma State after the first 10 minutes of this game is on pace for 120 points. Adding on the turnovers this really really disgusting to watch.

Layup drill for Ok State. This is a joke. Hall and Johnson are the only ones who have any heart

With over 2 minutes left in first half, OSU has as many points as they had in full game against Texas Tech.

They just showed the Ok State and he looked stressed….I know why.

He was thinking to himself, “Why did I waste all that time game-planning for this team when we could have done nothing, because you can do whatever you want against them.”

Ok. For those all the way in the back (like “Dave”): Johnny Dawkins is NOT going to resign and forfeit the $4.2M that’s due to him for the next two years. He’s going to take care of himself and his family.

Your beta AD keeps extending coaches that are clearly failing…it’s on Mohajir.

Man, it's not looking good. Hard to explain a collapse like this. It's pretty monumental when you look at the teams we beat early on and the games we were competitive in.

On a side note, it is SO REFRESHING to see fellow Knights FINALLY ignoring the village bozo. It's beautiful. A work of art! Lol.

Lol. Dude knows nothing about about football or basketball. Games early in the season mean very little in college basketball.

Well coached teams improve as the season goes along and poorly coached teams get exposed as they play more games. Guess which one is UCF?
