As some probably remember from history books/classes and/or watching some great WWI shows on the Military Channel, Discover, etc....the terms for the cease fire/armistice was signed around 5 AM on Nov 11th, 1918...but the cease fire wouldn't commence till 11 AM so the news could reach all of those on the fronts.
Sadly, during those last 6 hours...even during the last hour and the last minutes, soldiers continue to die as several thousand soliders die that morning, including some just 1 minute before 11 AM.

Some heartbreaking stories...and decisions made by one US General for idiotic reasons, cost almost 300 lives.
