Opener close to being a sell out?

compared to other teams who won more games than us last year, over 12,000 is a Frost miracle. lol.

Are we limiting Student tickets or accepting all student free?

I remember when we first opened BHNS there was a lottery to get in if you were a student and they turned down a bunch of people.. I hope its packed for every game like it used to be.

The Labor Day weekend makes travel here more feasible. But on the other hand, a lot of students will go home for the holiday, too. So I don't think students attendance will be high this time.

According to wikipedia:BHNS
Capacity
45,323 (2007–2014)
44,206 (2015–present)
Record attendance 48,453 (2009)

I think record attendance could still be in play. Only lost 1K with the renovation.

Counting the people in IOA plaza that can't get into the game watching on the TV's outside the stadium.

Are you kidding me? It's the first game of the season and school just started. The kids aren't going home, it's not Thanksgiving. Trust me, the students are pumped for this game. The student section will be juiced just like it almost always is.

We cannot break the record attendance, because the stadium presently doesn't hold as many fans as in 2009 vs Miami. The record attendance is over 4,000 fans more than the present capacity.

There will be a huge buzz around the stadium on gameday with most likely record crowds, a full student section, and a near sellout. I'll say 41,000-43,000, which is great. A better opponent would probably guarantee a sellout.

If we destroy this team and put up a nice showing against Michigan, I think Maryland will be a sellout.

I disagree. Between students and their guests, the student section will be at capacity and at record numbers.
It's too soon to go home for most students as they have just arrived.

What with all the storms, some may not. I hope you are right. I've seen faculty and staff emails to get us all back in the house, so Danny's crew is on it.
