That whole grotesque spectacle was hilarious and sad. A room full of drug addict degenerates, most of whom all knew about the sexual abuse going on in their industry, all pretending to now be self righteous crusaders and lecturing to dumb, middle America.
Led by a woman who has been intertwined into Hollywood as well as anyone in the world for 20+ years. I'm sure Oprah knew nothing of her buddy Weinstein's misdeeds or ANY of these sexual abuse cases. Oprah is too brand conscious to alienate half of her base. She didn't become a billionaire by accident. I don't think she does it unless she runs as a populist or centrist but Trump is already occupying that space.

That's the thing about politics- they'd be forced to take up party positions that will alienate half of the country. I can't see Oprah or The Rock wanting to do that.
Trump was different- he basically spent his entire career fighting with the media, NYC Mayors, other Hollywood people, etc. He was largely famous because he was wealthy and willing to be an asshole in disputes. Running for office was no problem since he just did more of the same.

You know it's ok to say that you don't think it's right for a president to directly fill his own coffers with tax payers money by staying at resorts that he owns.
i wont lie, i have a problem with it. however, its so small it barely registers. kind of like a $7.5m boost in income compared to a $600m loss of wealth. something along those lines.
