Orange County bans religious materials in schools

In 2014, a group put Bibles in Orange County schools for one day, and another group was able to provide atheist materials. But it was when the satanic temple tried to put its own book in schools that the district's policy became an issue.
The policy previously permitted the groups to leave religious materials on tables at schools at the beginning of the year on a nationally recognized freedom day.
At Tuesday's meeting, board members voted 7-1 to amend the policy. Pam Gould was the only board member who voted to keep the policy.

This post is a good example of what fascists many atheists really are. They would strip kids of their individual rights to believe in whatever they want, just so they can get their way and get "undesired" material out of schools.

Religion is a personal choice so it shouldn't be influenced by teachers. Now the use of the word god in the pledge should be there because those are the words used. It doesn't say which god, it could be the god of the underwear monster.

The bibles shouldn't have been handed out in the first place. Let's just teach at school and stop trying to indoctrinate our future robots and instead create critical thinkers.

That has nothing to do with the quote from the atheist I published. He said nothing about them being handed out by teachers; his statement had to do with ANY religious material, even if brought in by a student for their own reading or usage.

Maybe public schools should just concentrate on math, science, reading and writing. They can do that in four hours a day and then cut taxes for education in half by paying teachers part time pay and shutting down the schools by 12:30. I think schools have proven they are pretty bad at being government run day care. They're not even that good at being schools.
