Never been there and I'm not affiliated in any way, but, The Basement Orlando is offering free beer during UCF games until UCF gets a W. Might be a nice way to watch if you can't be in attendance. Drinking is required watching this squad.

Im curious what specific brands will be free.
Any watered down piss that reminds everyone of what UCF has become this year. Of course ... the buzz will still be there, because they know what we need! ;)

You can't tease something like that, then not spill the beans...

Ok. Imaging peeing in your closet with 2 stalls and 3-4 guys in there. If you are going to drink their cheap beer, you'll be peeing a lot. I am fortunate enough to be able to afford a beer.

Free beer. I'm sure it's quality. Ask if it comes with free migraine pills.

Wow this takes me back to UCF days when there used to be Nickel Beer night at the Knights Out Pub (the only bar near campus). It was the nastiest, most awful beer imaginable but it was still great! Beer fights, buying a round for the house, and horrible headaches by the end of the night. Ahhh the good ol' days. Regan was president, University and Alafaya Trail were 2 lane roads and Lou Saban was the football coach, or was it Gene McDowell. It did not matter we sucked and it was great fun, but it did not seem to matter. Good to see that some things do not change. .

Yeah, Wednesday night was nickel beer! Had the acoustic guitar guy. One summer I was there every week! 1988 maybe? :) I did get food poisoning there my last semester from the $2.50 giant burger, fries, and a beer deal :)

You actually ate there? :scream: We would go over to subway or to the mini mart. I felt safer with a microwaved burrito than to eat anything at the KOP

At least its a 12 noon game. Catch the game, get a ride home, watch the rest of college football at home and take a nice nap. I couldnt imagine UCF football on TV in sports bar in the 90s. ;)

Thanks for the flashback. At one point in my life I 'sustained' my life on those pub burgers and cleaning up the women at nickel beer night. For some reason I was thinking it was a quarter a beer. Wasn't nickel beer night at church street?

IS that Subway still there? There used to be a pizza hut there too.

I'm sure the free beer is some sort of domestic light beer, but what do people want... It's free!

I give them credit for coming up with a fun and interesting promotion that I'm sure fellow knight fans are talking about.

Domestic light beer would be fine with me. Anybody heading over? I think I might watch the game there Sat.

That was my era too ..those were the days, that was the "Golden Age" before D1 ,and yes " Sweet Lou" was the HC . Nickel Beer @ KOP was Thursday night and I never missed it ,, it was great a real college bar and yes the only one in easy walking distance to campus (across the street) . The several other UCF bars were on Colonial ( Point After , Carrie Nations , Ramada Inn) but KOP was the "official" UCF bar (Point After alternate "offcial" bar). ...thanks for the memories SC Knight !!!
