Can someone still local to the area sum up all the projects underway or in the pipeline? On FB I saw someone share a story that Universal will now be building a water park. So there's that, some I-drive projects (giant wheel etc) , I-4 construction, Citrus Bowl, soccer stadium, what else?

Anything at Disney? Downtown Disney right?

What about north I-drive?

Disney is in the beginning stages of building avatar world in animal planet. THey are also expanding the toy story area in MGM, and in planning stages of something star wars related...

Getting ready for the coming end of life as we know it, Universal should build zombie world. Zombies need vacations too. I hear they really like Ritalin.

I will do my best
- Disney
- Finishing the Downtown Disney thing
- stuff Marino said
- Universal
- Just finished Harry Potter 2 - now even harrier
- Water park
- Another on property hotel
- I-Drive
- Other than a shit ton of tear down and rebuilds with new restaurants, the Orlando Eye which is a giant ferris wheel like what they have in Atlanta, but bigger.
- Over by the outlet malls there is a 17(?) story hotel going in with 2 sheets of ice in the mezzanine, shopping mall on floors 1-3, and a restaurant that rotates on the top floor.
- Sky Coaster which is a 450 foot (about) roller coaster that loops around the tower that takes you up to the launch point. In conjunction, they just announced they are adding a giant drop ride within the tower or round it or something. I didn't look at it closely.
- Kissimmee
- Snow ski mountain and "extreme" sports complex

That's the gist of what I can think of. Basically, when you land at the airport, you give them your credit card and how many days you are going to be here and we max out your card and give you tickets to what you are going to do. I honestly don't know how as a family from Ohio, you even get close to doing it all.

3 new t-shirt shops will be opening up on North I-Drive, plus, still in the planning stages (one can only hope) a new knock-off luggage store should be coming too.

And those damn t-shirt shops and knock-off luggage stores keep your property taxes lower and ensure you don't have state income taxes so cheer those bad boys on to much success.

Universal is building a water park, a nice resort on the water, and they are adding an indoor rollercoaster near Jurassic Park, most people think it is King Kong. They're going to get rid of the Jurassic World moniker and name the new area Skull Island.

Such f'ing negativity. If you lived in NYC would you say, "hmmph, another play to get the crap tourists to spend money"

If you are a family coming to Orlando for 30 days you still couldn't see or do all of the things there are to do here.
- Beach
- Swamps to see Gators
- Space program
- Fishing
- Surfing
- Canoeing
- Paddle Boarding
- Sky Diving
- Massive Theme Parks
- Disney
- Universal
- Sea World
- Busch Gardens
- Lego Land
- Shows
- Blue Man Group
- Cirque du Soleil
- Any number of events at the Dr. Philips Center
- Orlando Repertory Theater
- Orlando Opera
- Medieval Times
- Pirates Dinner Adventure
- Smaller Attractions
- Madame Tussauds
- Ripleys
- the upside down place that I can't think of the name of
- The Orlando Eye
- Fun Spot
- Old Towne
- Downtown Disney
- Water Parks
- Aquatica
- The 2 at Disney
- Wet and WIld
- CocoKey
- Nickelodian Hotel Water Park
- Pro Sports
- Magic
- Solar Bears
- Lightning
- Bucs
- Jags
- Predators
- UCF sports (though not really for out of towners)

I could go on, but Orlando has an absolute crap ton of stuff that people from around the world would kill to go to. I can't believe people crap on it. Orlando is the most visited city in the US with around 60 million people a year coming here for those "tourist traps". Think about that for a second. Over 1 million people a week are here just to go on vacation.

"We live where you go on Spring Break" was one of my favorite UCF baseball heckles at opposing fans. I forget who it was against and I definitely didnt say it but some team had a dozen or so students in attendance with Spring Breaky clothes on. Someone yelled. Was pretty great.

Florida in general gets crapped on way too much[/QUOTE]

The Jurassic Park ride isn't going anywhere. They are just renaming the area skull island because it doesn't make sense to have king Kong in Jurassic world.

You dont do it all..at least in one trip anyways.

Yore right. If you're looking for manufactured fun, Orlando is the place. I do appreciate the constant cash I jettison into the economy, but Orlando is a circus for tourists. As a local I enjoy the heck out of Orlando and spend little to no time doing most of the things that were mentioned. There is more here than I Drive

I forgot about that one. And of course the Orlando City Soccer stadium and the supposed entertainment complex that is going with that.
