OS: Maryland in Florida to recruit

Well tell them to piss off. This is Frost territory!! Stay in the mid-atlantic region, Terps.

The MD coach was at UF for years, so this is what he knew. GOL spent his recruiting time in Georgia because that's all he knew. The article does make the important point I'ved stressed. The Big 10 needs a Florida member. It's no accident they're in Florida two straight weeks for games or that Penn State played us for greater visibility here. Dillinger robbed banks because "that's where the money is."

Hey Florida boys, how would you look to play for a basketball lacross school that was so badly managed it nearly went bankrupt on ACC money? You'll get to wear the most atrocious uniforms in the world of sports and spend half the year playing in freezing temperatures. But wait, there's more! Despite being the flagship program in a state with little competition, you'll play in front of FCS sized crowds until Penn State comes to town and takes over your home stadium

Hey Florida boys, ...
True except for the temps. U. of MD gets essentially Southern climate much of the year. But you're right about college football there. When I go up to visit my in-laws there, the only colleges sports they watch are LaCrosse or women's basketball, not football.

Nice edit! Really, that's what the D.C. area "elites" follow up there! I even think Maryland has a good team. But there's like a score every 10 seconds. What's with that?

Alot of competition in Florida for viewers...USF, UCF, FSU & UF. That dilution would mitigate any benefit from adding a Florida team. And unless we get FSU or UF I don't think it would be worth it. Finally, there adding anyone else to the B1G would be met with resistance. Rutgers & Maryland are not well liked additions.
