Can you be any more moronic? Without GOL who knows how long it would have taken us to get where we are now? If private donors want to pool their money and honor a coach that lead us to where we have gone, while he is still alive to appreciate it mind you, then so be it. I appreciate where GOL brought us but I'm sorry, you don't erect a statue for a coach who had two 0-12 seasons, was involved in a player's death and certainly didn't win enough big time OOC games.

Love him or hate him, his notoriety got UCF a lot of attention which was just as important as his record. It came at a time we really needed it. We wouldn't be looking at our football program ranking in FL. without him. We'd probably be behind USF and perhaps on the same level as FAU and FIU.

I just went back and looked and in regards to UCF:
- Prior to joining the American, O'Dreary's OOC record vs P5 including bowl games is 3-22.
- Since joining the American, and not counting conference games, his record is 3-6.
- His record all time vs ranked opponents is 3-13
