Another potential flight option for those road matchups against WVU. Allegiant is adding non-stop service from TPA to Clarksburg, WV (CKB) beginning this upcoming March. Clarksburg is about 45 minutes southwest of Morgantown. It looks like the route will run on Fridays and Mondays, so it could be convenient for weekend football matchups.
The primary airport destination for trips to Morgantown is Pittsburgh International (PIT) which is about 1.25-1.5 hours north of Morgantown. Obviously PIT will provide the greatest flexibility, but it's good to know there's another option that happens to be a little closer.
For anyone concerned because it's Allegiant (I was a long-time skeptic): Allegiant has been modernizing its fleet over the past few years and was recently awarded a top safety rating of 7⭐ by AirlineRatings.com.
