It doesn't look like this Baylor thing is going to blow over for a few more weeks. It's getting ugly and now that the media is going to be hyper focused on this trying to uncover a "cover-up", it could mean bad things for what is currently one of the Big12's top teams.
If this thing drags on for a few weeks and it turns out Baylor has in fact covered up other incidents, which some reports have alluded to (though not at the severity of the Ukwuachu case), does the Big12 move to distract attention away from the affair?
Naturally, one way to distract attention from this is to make a big announcement and we all know what that could be. However, I doubt that they'd pull the trigger on expansion just to distract attention away from this.
That being said, how do you see this playing out for Baylor and the Big12? Would it mean additional scrutiny of transfer players? Do you think the Big12 would enact something similar to what the SEC did with allegations that forbid players from taking a player with "prior issues?"
