ESPN's Outside the Lines today has evidence that was collected by US Postal Service Investigators back in 1989, who were looking for evidence mail fraud case, where they found a notebook, and now some 26 years later, that info has has surfaced that proves that Rose bet on MLB while still playing in MLB...something he has denied for 27 years...and something he denied back in 2004 when he finally admitted he bet on baseball while being a manager.

Seeing how Rose was going to be at least a part of the All-Star festivities this summer in Cincinnati, this new evidence will certainly hurt his case for reinstatement...which he applied for early this Spring under the impression that the new MLB Commish would be open to the idea of welcoming Pete back into the game.
