Just curious if anyone has had any run-ins with these idiots? They seem to be spreading, you almost can't go on any space-based article on social media without running into these people. I realize that some of them are probably just trolling, but there does seem to be an alarming amount of people who truly believe that the earth is flat.

I don't think they are spreading , just easier for us normal people to stumble upon their message given the widespread use of social messaging.

Unfortunately I have. A few months ago I found out a light friend/aquaintance truly believes in that bs. I hadn't heard of it before at the time so when he mentioned it I burst out laughing. Only later did I find out he was serious.

Needless to say I haven't talked to him since. I knew he wasn't the brightest guy, but at a certain point all respect is lost.

Social media and YouTube certainly make it easier for them to get their message out. There are a lot of these idiots who will believe anything they see on YouTube instead of what science tells them. I've tried watching a few of those flat earth YouTube videos, I can never make it all the way through any of them. The amount of cognitive dissonance that goes on with these idiots is astounding.
