do you guys down in Florida have furnaces in your homes, or just a/c?

Our A/C's have a heat pump... Same unit as the AC and works in reverse
I kind of wondered if that was the case. We have heat pumps up here too but with gas being so low for the foreseeable future there aren't many going in anymore.

We bought a house last year in Orlando where the neighborhood was surprisingly set up for natural gas back in the late 90's. As someone who has lived in Florida my entire life and never experienced gas it is amazing. Water heater, dryer, and range all on gas which is dirt cheap and my electrical bill is quite reasonable without those big appliances drawing power.

I have family members with natural gas in their homes. They love it.

Lol, its kind of weird because I'm an electrician but I always recommend people go with gas appliances now. I don't make as much, but they save a crap load of money by doing it. Can't say that I push gas dryers because they do kind of present a fire hazard but anything else, go for it.
