My adopted cousin is American Indian descent and has forsaken his white upbringing to move to the rez and be with his people. His FB posts make Bernie look like Reagan. So I'd say no to assimilation.

Nice non-issue there, as Native Americans are perhaps the only exception to the rule. But hey, think about your own thread next time you ask the stock boy a question at Publix or WalMart and they just stare at you with a dumbfounded look before telling you "no speaky English."
