Asking for help in here, as you are my biggest and most diverse network of sports fans I can reach out to…
OK, here is my issue. This year I moved into a condo tower in Flagler Beach. The hard cable line is provided through the HOA, and it is a low-cost, low service solution. In the building, we do NOT have the option to change cable providers. One of my two TVs is pulling that line so that I can get local channels, and a limited number of “sports channels”. My question is, what combination of streaming services do I need to get to maximize my sports coverage?
Here are the sports channels I get through my “Mayberry RFD” cable line, but with or without these, I’d like to get as much coverage through streaming as possible.
Existing channels on cable feed: NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX. (Local Orlando). USA, TBS, TNT, GOLF, ESPN, ESPN2 (Not the other ESPN channels), NBCSN Sports (Possibly going away), FOX Sports 1. Some are high def, some seemingly are not.
Can I install sports-specific apps like NFL Network/Red Zone NBA.TV, NHL.TV, or MLB.TV on my smart TV’s? Am I better just feeding an HDMI cable from a computer into those systems?
The Smart TV with the cable feed is a Sony, and the smart TV without the cable feed is a Samsung.
I currently have Netflix and Hulu, and I know I can get some live sports on Hulu, but I am pretty unclear on what all I can get through ESPN+, Disney+, etc.
In a perfect world, I’d like to be able to stream any NFL game (Bucs fan), NHL game (Lightning fan), MLB game (Marlins fan) and NBA (agnostic) along with PGA, MLS, and of course as much college (UCF) content as possible.
Any advice you can offer is greatly appreciated.
P.S. If any of you are ever over in Flagler Beach, stop on by for some pool or darts, a nice ocean view, some cool drinks and hopefully some good sports on the TVs! Charge On…
