Just curious who is in Huntsville here in the Dungeon?
When I worked for Red Hat (2005-2016, 2007-2014 direct/FTE), I spent a couple of weeks at Redstone a couple of times. Now I'm making it permanent with a small employer.
I'll be renting in Huntsville to start. But still wanted to know who's around in the area. I'll likely be buying for the long-term in the area by 2022. I don't think I'll ever leave Huntsville, just too many opportunities for a Red Hat/technology security expert with an aerospace background like myself.
Was hoping to find other Knights in the area, especially those here in the Dungeon.

With my current, and previously assumed, long-term employer (2016+, sans some work in DC, largely remote) re-orging, laying off and outsourcing since late 2018 (long time, 20 year CEO retired in 2017), especially causing havoc with new initiatives 2020+, my hours skyrocketed from around 50/week to 20+ hours/day at my computer, hence my exit. No one was shocked, and my VP understands our problems aren't with our division.
I always figured I'd move to Huntsville if things didn't work out in Birmingham long-term. I only wished I had bought half-way in between the two cities, like I had planned. But I found 3 sweet acres secluded and quiet just south of Calera-Montevallo (20 miles south of my current employer's DataCenter in Hoover, itself 10 miles south of Birmingham proper). Still debating if I'm going to keep it long-term, although mowing 3 hilly acres is tedious in the summer.
In any case,
