Yankees didn't play a home game till Sept 25th...and the Giants and Jets didn't have a home game for quite awhile...so this Mets vs Braves game was the first major sporting event in NYC after 9/11.
Game will air tonight on ESPN at 7 pm.
Golic & Wingo interviewed Chipper Jones this AM about this game...as he said it was something you just had to experience to understand just what that one game meant to so many people.
