NCAA Head of Officials admits that the 3 refs on the court never saw the close-up replay that showed a finger tip touch by Duke player with 1:53 left in the game.

That same Head of Official, admits that he saw the same replay while courtside that the national televised audience did and thought of heading over to the scorer's table, hitting a buzzer and bringing officials over for a 2nd look (which would have been their first look), which he had the authority to do, but decided to let that wrong call stand.

NCAA's head of officiating admits the referees got a critical call wrong in the Duke-Wisconsin game[/B]

From link below:

"I saw it after they had left the monitor, and actually thought about, is it in my prerogative to get up, run over to the table, buzz the buzzer, and tell them to come back and look? That's how critical I thought the play was," Adams said, "but (I) concluded that this was a job for the guys on the floor."

That's too bad. Accuracy always triumphs over tradition!
I listened to the analysis on 740Am this morning

That call wasn't going to change anything. Wisconsin had already stopped giving a fukc 10 minutes before this happened.

Sad thing is...almost everyone at home were able to watch replays on screens that were 3-5 times bigger vs what the refs had at courtside.
